Our 2022 Round-up

With the end of 2022 fast approaching, we have been reflecting back on the past 52 weeks here at BCHQ. It has been a year full of excitement and new beginnings. We started the year by joining forces with one of the world’s leading sustainability charities — WRAP — to tackle the climate emergency with a focus on citizen consumption behaviour. Our other new beginnings include welcoming two Behavioural Intervention Designers to our team — Honica and Tasha — the promotion of Polly to Head of Projects (and wellbeing officer), onboarding 9 brand new clients, and joining Instagram!

This year has been full of inspiring projects all striving to change behaviour for social or environmental good. We have worked with the RNID to implement changes grounded in behavioural science to their hearing check page, collaborated with our friends at Among Equals to deliver a campaign with ReLondon to boost recycling rates amongst young Londoners, and delivered the second cohort of our free learning experience for founders of climate-focused tech start-ups, AxBC (just to name a few!). Following 7 years of working with Mars Wrigley, this year also saw us kick-starting a five-year £10m programme to reduce chewing gum litter by delivering signage to 56 councils across the UK. Additionally, our first major project of the WRAP partnership is underway — watch this space!

As a team we have thoroughly enjoyed face-to-face meetings becoming the norm again (almost), and have delivered 30 workshops and welcomed 70+ people to our office throughout the year. We have also enjoyed spending time together as a team at our weekly lunches, monthly socials (our most recent being a brilliant night out at the comedy), and quarterly Bsci sessions where we discuss new developments in the behavioural science field.

Thank you to all of our clients, partners, and friends for a great year. We wish you all a happy Christmas and look forward to what 2023 has in store!
